Confidence in Trump Dips, and Fewer Now Say They Support His Policies and Plans
Only 27% of Americans say they support all or most of Trump’s policies – down since last year, with the change coming entirely among Republicans.
Trump’s approval rating stands at 40%, and Americans mostly disapprove of his tariffs and government cuts.
Trump’s job approval is down since February, especially among his less strong supporters and 2024 nonvoters. And fewer than half of Americans have confidence in Trump to handle most issues.
As Trump returns to the White House, Republicans are upbeat about Trump’s actions and agenda, but Democrats find little to like.
