Among 107 democracies, we found that only one other country uses the same redistricting approach as the U.S.
Across 12 high-income countries, a median of 64% of adults say they are dissatisfied with the way their democracy is working, while a median of 35% are satisfied.
Across 24 nations, a 49% median view the U.S. favorably, while an identical share do not. People are also roughly split on whether U.S. democracy works well.
When people in 25 countries were asked what makes them proud of their country, at least some cited their political system and economy.
People in higher-income countries are generally less likely to say their nation’s political system needs major changes or complete reform. Americans are an exception.

A median of 59% across 35 countries see made-up news as a very big problem.
Most X users say their recent experiences using the platform have been mostly positive or neutral.
