Many Americans Say Made-Up News Is a Critical Problem That Needs To Be Fixed
Politicians viewed as major creators of it, but journalists seen as the ones who should fix it
Roughly six-in-ten Americans (58%) feel that computer programs will always reflect the biases of the people who designed them, while 40% feel it is possible for computer programs to make decisions that are free from human bias.
Younger Western Europeans, those ages 18 to 29, are far more likely to get news on social media than older adults (those ages 30 to 49 and those 50 and older).
