Pew Research Center makes the case-level microdata for much of its research available to the public for secondary analysis after a period of time. These datasets are listed below by collection date. A listing of our American Trends Panel datasets and religion datasets are also available.     January 2006 – Exploratorium

    This data set contains questions about science and sources of news and scientific information. It was used in the report “The Internet as a Resource for News and Information About Science.”

    February-April 2006 – Gadgets and Internet Typology

    This dataset contains questions about usage and attitudes towards Information and Communication Technologies. It served as the basis for the May 2007 “Typology of Information and Communication Technology Users”, and was also used in the “Home Broadband Adoption 2006” report. This data set contains all questions asked in addition to basic demographic, internet use and broadband-at-home information.

    March 2006 – Cell Phones

    This data set contains questions about cell phone usage and attitudes, and includes respondents reached via cell-owner sample. It was used in the report “Americans and Their Cell Phones”.

    August 2006 – Health

    This data set contains questions about how individuals use the internet to search for health information and resources. It was used in the reports “Online Health Search 2006” and “E-patients with a Disease or Chronic Disability”.
