Barely half of all adults (51%) in the United States –a record low — are currently married.

Although Europe and the Americas still are home to a majority of the world’s Christians (63%), that share is much lower than it was in 1910 (93%).

More than three-in-ten (31%) military women are black. This is almost twice the share of active-duty men who are black.

Roughly three-quarters of the public (77%) say that they think there is too much power in the hands of a few rich people and large corporations in the United States.

Although there have been a record number of immigrant deportations under the administration of Barack Obama, 36% of Latinos say the levels are about the same as they were during George W. Bush’s presidency.

As the 2008 election approached, the public mood about the economy was not very good, but it was better than it is today. At that time, about half (48%) of Americans said jobs were difficult to find, a number that increased to 79% in 2011.
