Fully 38% of Hispanics were contacted by a campaign and encouraged to register to vote or to go to the polls during the 2008 campaign; of those contacted, however, 59% were contacted by the Obama campaign compared with 43% who were contacted by the McCain campaign — a 16-point advantage for the Obama camp.
