72% of U.S. adults say that there should be limits on the amount of money individuals and organizations can spend on political campaigns.
68% of U.S. adults who voted in the 2020 presidential election turned out to vote in the 2022 midterms. Former President Donald Trump’s voters turned out at a higher rate in 2022 (71%) than did President Joe Biden’s voters (67%).
Overall, 70% of U.S. adults favor allowing any voter to vote by mail if they want to.
Among Republicans, support has declined for allowing early or absentee voting without an excuse and for automatically registering all eligible citizens to vote.
Most Democratic voters say this year’s caucuses and primaries will do a good job of selecting the best nominee for the presidential election.
With less than five months until the 2020 elections, Americans are deeply unhappy with the state of the nation.
