As of December 2008, 11% of online American adults said they used a service like Twitter or another service that allowed them to share updates about themselves or to see the updates of others.
More than half (55%) of all online American youths ages 12-17 use online social networking sites.
The percentage of American adult Internet users who say they download music drops by half and the usage of some file-sharing applications declines.
