In their own words: Why do Americans say men or women have it easier in the U.S.?

Far more Americans say men have it easier in our country these days than say things are easier for women (35% vs. 9%). A majority (56%) says there is no difference. When those who say men or women have it easier are asked in what ways this is so, most cite inequities rooted in the workplace.
