Young, Restless, Looking to Move

People looking for a place to live now have access to virtual tours, property photos, local area maps, and databases of current listings online. Not surprisingly, young people are flocking to these resources; not only have 51% of internet users ages 18 to 29 looked online for housing information, but 9% do so on a typical day. I would have guessed that looking for housing information was about on par with making a reservation for travel in this age group, but only 1% of 18-29 year-old internet users do that on a typical day. Is it because young people move so often? Or is it because young people track all kinds of markets? Nine percent of young internet users also look for financial information online on a typical day. Or maybe real estate is indeed the new porn.
