Dorene Asare-Marfo is the senior panel manager for Pew Research Center’s American Trends Panel, a nationally representative probability-based panel of U.S. adults. In this central role, she manages the strategic and day-to-day operations of the panel and collaborates with research teams across the Center to carry out surveys conducted on the panel. She works closely with other survey methodologists on the Domestic Survey Methods team to help shape the Center’s research agenda and provide methodological guidance, particularly as it relates to the American Trends Panel and cross-national surveys. Prior to joining Pew Research Center, she worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) for over a decade, where she led and managed several international surveys. Asare-Marfo has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and a master’s degree in Quantitative Methods from Columbia University, New York.
