U.S. Workers Expecting Layoffs

Despite worries about globalization and off-shoring, the vast majority of U.S. workers consider it unlikely that they will be laid off in the coming year; just 13% say they are very or fairly likely to lose their job or be laid off. These figures are virtually unchanged since 1975, when Gallup surveys began tracking this issue.
