Many people in U.S., other advanced economies say it’s not necessary to believe in God to be moral
Most Americans say it’s not necessary to believe in God in order to be moral and have good values, according to a spring 2022 survey.
Some Americans clearly long for a more avowedly religious and explicitly Christian country, a March survey finds. However, a clear majority of Americans do not accept these views.
Household size and composition often vary by religious affiliation, data from 130 countries and territories reveals. Muslims and Hindus have larger households than Christians and religious “nones,” influenced in part by regional norms.
