Americans name China as the country posing the greatest threat to the U.S.
In an open-ended question allowing Americans to name which country they see as the greatest threat to the U.S., 50% name China.
By a narrow margin, Americans view the U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian Gen. Soleimani as the right decision. But 54% say the administration’s approach toward Iran has increased the chances of a major military conflict.
As Donald Trump prepares to announce his long-awaited decision on the Iran nuclear agreement, more Americans say they disapprove (40%) than approve (32%) of the agreement.
Today, 68% say the U.S. is less respected by other countries than it was in the past.
