In most places surveyed, more people name China’s influence as a major threat than any of the other geopolitical issues asked about.
Majorities of U.S. adults have favorable views of Ukraine (64%) and NATO (62%). About seven-in-ten Republicans (71%) say the U.S. should pay less attention to problems overseas and focus on concerns at home — up from 65% in 2021.

Americans and Germans have vastly different opinions of their relationship, but they tend to agree on issues such as cooperation with other European allies and support for NATO.
People around the world agree that climate change poses a severe risk to their countries, according to a 26-nation survey conducted in spring 2018. Terrorism, specifically from ISIS, and cyberattacks are also seen by many as major security threats.
A majority of Russians say their country has improved its international standing, and many are confident in Putin’s handling of global issues. Economic views are mixed and corruption remains a concern.
