Economic Attitudes Improve in Many Nations Even as Pandemic Endures
Despite an uptick in positive views of the economy in some places, many say that children will be worse off financially than their parents.
At the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s annual forum on Dec. 15, 2020, Director of Global Attitudes Research Richard Wike presented the results of an invitation-only poll of forum attendees about the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts, the state of the global economy, the future of work, and cooperation between countries.
Results from this survey of OECD Economic Forum attendees, which focused on views about the economy, the future of work, and democracy, were compared to results from surveys of the public around the world.
