Seven-in-ten Americans view inflation as a very big problem for the United States, followed by the affordability of health care and violent crime. About half say gun violence and the federal budget deficit are very big problems, according to a Pew Research Center survey. 84% of Republicans say inflation is a very big problem in the country today, along with 57% of Democrats. Just 19% of Americans rate the coronavirus outbreak as a very big problem for the country, the lowest share out of 12 issues included in the survey and down from 58% who said this in June 2020.
