Juan Carlos Donoso

Juan Carlos Donoso is a research associate at the Pew Research Center; he specializes in international polling, particularly on topics related to religion and politics. Donoso is involved in all aspects of survey research, including questionnaire design, quality control and data analysis. Before joining the Pew Research Center, Donoso was living in Ecuador, where he was co-founder and president of a private polling company and a professor of political science and international relations at Universidad San Francisco de Quito. He also was co-director of the Latin American Public Opinion Project (LAPOP) for Ecuador. Donoso received his doctorate in political science from Vanderbilt University in 2009. He has published several reports on the political culture of democracy in Latin America and has been a frequent analyst for media outlets in Latin America.
