Fully 70% of U.S. adult Twitter news consumers say they have used Twitter to follow live news events, up from 59% who said this in 2015.

Across 12 countries, a median of 40% of adults say they have no confidence in Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to do the right thing regarding world affairs, while a median of 37% say they have at least some confidence. Large majorities in most of the 19 countries surveyed have negative views of China, but relatively few say bilateral relations are bad.
Unfavorable views of China also hover near historic highs in most of the 17 advanced economies surveyed.
