A new survey, along with a related series of focus groups, shows the many nuanced views Black Americans hold about science.
Views of the U.S. are favorable across many of the 33 countries we surveyed in 2019, although confidence in U.S. President Donald Trump is low.
Across 35 nations, a median of 26% do not identify with any political party in their country. In countries where more people are unaffiliated with any political party, popular support for representative democracy is also lower.
Just 8% of Russians believe the Russian Revolution was the country’s most important event of the past century. A 34% plurality says it was World War II.
Though it’s a different story in their own countries.
