In 2020, properties in 102 of the 198 countries and territories in the study were targeted in incidents tied to religion.
Concentrated in Europe, Orthodox Christians have declined as share of the global Christian population, from 20% in 1910 to 12% today. But the Ethiopian community is highly observant and growing.
International migration from sub-Saharan African countries to Europe and the U.S. has grown over the past decade. Many who live in sub-Saharan Africa say they would move to another country if they could.
