About one-in-five among the public say that today’s fathers are doing a better job compared with fathers a generation ago; far fewer (9%) say that today’s mothers are doing a better job than their predecessors.
That’s the number of Americans who agree that “we should get even with any country that tries to take advantage of the United States” — the lowest number in favor of getting even against other countries in 20 years.
That’s the portion of Americans who say that financial concerns are the biggest problem their family faces; family, personal and health problems are the next most cited concerns but, taken together, they account for only 11% of top worries for American families.
Nearly half of U.S. workers expect they will switch careers sometime in the future. Young workers and part-time workers are more likely to say they are very or somewhat likely to change careers.
