More Americans say Trump administration has helped evangelicals than other groups
President Trump has called himself a defender of religious liberty. But how do Americans see his administration’s effect on religious groups?
A new Pew Research Center survey finds that Americans are increasingly confident they can safely go to services at a church, temple, mosque or other house of worship.
White evangelicals largely see Trump as fighting for their beliefs and advancing their interests, and they feel their side generally has been winning recently on political matters important to them.
American adolescents often participate at parents’ behest, and tend to be less religious in more personal, private ways.
