The U.S. is not widely seen as highly religious
A modest share of people around the world see the United States as more religious than other wealthy nations – despite considerable evidence that it is.
Nearly 40% of the world’s Catholics live in Latin America, but many people in the region have converted from Catholicism to Protestantism, while some have left organized religion altogether.
