About half of Republicans now say the U.S. is providing too much aid to Ukraine
The share of Americans who say the U.S. is giving too much support to Ukraine has grown steadily over the course of the war, especially among Republicans.
About a third of adults (32%) say the U.S. is providing about the right amount of support for Ukraine, while a larger share (42%) says it should be providing more support; just 7% say it is giving Ukraine too much support.
The share of adults saying the U.S. isn’t providing enough support to Ukraine has declined since March.
A majority of Americans say 2018 will be a better year than 2017, a shift from a year ago when public expectations were far less positive.
