Americans differ over how important it is for political candidates they support to share their personal traits
66% of U.S. adults say it is extremely or very important that candidates share their views on political issues.
28% of Americans rate economic conditions as excellent or good, a 9 percentage point increase from last April. And the share who say economic conditions will be worse a year from now has fallen during this timespan, from 46% to 33%.
Voters are evenly split in their support for Trump (49%) and Biden (48%), but overall lack confidence in both on a range of traits.
More Americans also say evangelical Christians, business corporations and the military will lose than gain influence in Washington.
