GOP Lost? Turn Right
Six-in-ten Republican voters say want the GOP to move in a more conservative direction.
As the GOP looks for a path back to power, six-in-ten Republican voters (60%) say party leaders in Washington should move in a more conservative direction. Only 35% want party leaders steering the GOP to a more centrist approach. This is somewhat a reflection of the conservative tilt of the party. Roughly two-thirds (68%) of Republican voters identify themselves as conservative, and three-quarters of them want a turn to the right.
