# Hispanic Growth Mainly Due to Births, Asians Mainly Due to Immigration

Newly released Census Bureau population estimates for 2013 show that the nation's Hispanic population numbers slightly more than 54 million, compared with 19.4 million Asians. The primary source of growth is births for the Hispanic population and international migration for Asians.
