# Hispanic College Enrollment Grows Sharply

Increase in the Hispanic population, ages 18-24, from 2009 to 2010: 7%.

Those numbers are from a [new Pew Hispanic Center analysis of Census Bureau data](https://www.pewresearch.org/hispanic/2011/08/25/hispanic-college-enrollment-spikes-narrowing-gaps-with-other-groups/) from the Current Population Survey. According to the analysis, a record 1.8 million Hispanics, ages 18-24, were enrolled in college in October 2010.
