# Obama Not Overextended

In recent weeks, President Obama has come under increasing criticism for trying to tackle too many issues in his first few months in office but a majority of Americans (56%) reject that criticism, saying he is doing about right. Still, 35% say he is trying to address too many issues at once including a majority of Republicans (53%) as well as 36% of independents and 21% of Democrats. A majority of independents (52%) say Obama is doing about the right amount. Only 4% of Americans believe Obama is focusing on too few issues.
