# Robo-Calls

While campaign mail remains the most common form of voter contact (60% have received campaign mailings — 76% in battleground states), an increasing number (59% in battleground states and 47 % overall) have received pre-recorded telephone calls or “robo-calls.” Of those who have received robo-calls, nearly two-thirds (65%) say they hang up; just 30% say they usually listen. While more McCain supporters say they have received robo-calls (54% vs. 41%), more Obama supporters say they have been visited at home about the campaign (18% vs. 10%). Identical percentages of both candidates’ supporters (27% each) say they have received a personal call about the campaign.
