# Optimists About Housing Prices

Despite already extensive news coverage of weakness in the housing market, a substantial majority of Americans in a June Pew Research Center survey said that they expected housing prices to continue their rise of recent years; on the other hand, nearly two-in-three among the public rated the current economy as “only fair” (40%) or “poor” (25%) compared with 33% who rated it “good” or “excellent.” [Read More](https://www.pewresearch.org/pubs/516/are-americans-out-of-sync-with-economic-reality)
