## [AI in Americans’ web browsing](https://www.pewresearch.org/data-labs/2025/05/23/what-web-browsing-data-tells-us-about-how-ai-appears-online/)

Amid the growing presence of artificial intelligence, we studied Americans’ exposure to AI-related tools and content [as they go about their daily online lives](https://www.pewresearch.org/data-labs/2025/05/23/what-web-browsing-data-tells-us-about-how-ai-appears-online/). As part of a new approach, we purchased the March 2025 web browsing data of 900 U.S. adults. Each respondent is a member of KnowledgePanel Digital, an online survey panel whose respondents agree to install an app that tracks their online browsing behavior.
