# Dr. Google and Dr. Microsoft

An article titled [Dr. Google and Dr. Microsoft](http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/14/technology/14healthnet.html?_r=1&ref=health&oref=slogin) in the *New York Times* updated the health-care horserace between the two companies. If you really want to scope out the race, keep an eye on the blogosphere. Google, as usual, attracts tons of attention, from [critiques](http://www.e-patients.net/archives/2007/06/google_forms_ad.html) of their advisory board to a [dissection](http://e-caremanagement.com/connecting-the-dotsgoogle-health-promises-to-create-and-dominate-next-generation-phrs/) of their public statements. There are also the official blogs, such as the [Google Health Advertising Team](http://google-health-ads.blogspot.com/) and [Microsoft's worldwide health director](http://blogs.msdn.com/healthblog/default.aspx).

Since [80%](https://www.pewresearch.org/internet/PPF/r/190/report_display.asp) of internet users have searched online for at least one of 16 health topics, the stakes for this race are high.
