While there has been a sharp increase in the number of Pakistanis who see the Tailiban and al Qaeda unfavorably, more Pakistanis still see India as the largest threat to their country. Fully 83% of Pakistanis see India as a threat to their nation, with 69% seeing it as a very serious threat. Comparatively, 73% see the Taliban as a threat, and 61% view al Qaeda as a threat. Asked which threat is the greatest to their country, 48% of Pakistanis cite India, 32% the Tailban and just 4% say al Qaeda. Fully 90% believe it is important that the dispute over Kashmir be resolved, with three-quarters saying it is very important for this to happen.
