Hispanics and Public School Growth

The number Hispanic children enrolled in US public schools between 1993-94 and 2002-03 increased by 3 million. Total enrollment in public schools increased by 4.7 million, to 46.6 million, and that represented the most robust period of enrollment growth since the matriculation of baby boomers.
