With Border Patrol apprehensions once again increasing this spring, Americans are expressing renewed concern over illegal immigration and the current situation at the U.S. border with Mexico. The government receives negative ratings for how it has handled the situation at the border. 68% of U.S. adults say that the government is doing a very or somewhat bad job of dealing with the increased number of people seeking asylum at the country’s southern border, while 29% say it is doing a very or somewhat good job.
