Pew Research Center recently asked experts in technology, communications, and social change what they think life will be like in 2025. This new report finds that many expect sweeping societal change to make life worse for most people after the COVID-19 outbreak.

Asked to consider what they expect in the wake of the pandemic and other crises in 2020, the broad and nearly universal view among experts is that people’s relationship with technology will deepen, as larger segments of the population come to rely more on digital connections for work, education, health care, daily commercial transactions, and essential social interactions. Still, a portion of those asked say they believe things will be better in a world where workplaces, health care, and social activity improve.
