SAR ZONE, ITALY – 2017/11/03: Migrants getting out of the Open Arms, the rescue boat of the NGO Proactiva Open Arms, in Crotone Italy.
They were coming from Libya and rescued.
The Spanish NGO Proactiva Open Arms rescued 378 migrants. They were 20 miles out from the Libyan coast. Since the beginning of the year, nearly 3.000 people have lost their lives in the Mediterranean Sea. Even if one of every 53 has died crossing, migrants keep on trying to leave Libya because they say that life in Libya is really difficult.
