Religiously Mixed Marriages

Among married adult Americans, 27% are in religiously mixed marriages, and if marriages between people of different Protestant denominational families are included, the number of married people in religiously mixed marriages is nearly four-in-ten (37%). Young people are more likely to be in religiously mixed marriages as compared with their older counterparts.
